Our newest customer came to us in the hardest possible way.
Meet Eva, a Chinese Crested that came in for her first shopping trip ever. She was accompanied by her new owner Becky Smith.
Eva, five years old, survived an extraordinary ordeal being one of the surviving dogs of an elderly animal hoarder who died in her West Linn home in early June . She took with her eleven other pets. Police found 60 remaining animals in the home. Many had neurological symptoms from carbon monoxide exposure. The healthiest went to the Clackamas shelter, and those with neurological symptoms went to Veterinary Specialist NW for treatment. Not all were saved.
Becky, a compassionate vet tech at Rose City Veterinary Hospital and a tech at Veterinary Specialist NW on 82nd Place in Clackamas, took Eva to be her own.
Life has taken a giant turn for the better for Eva. Now her life is full of happy experiences like learning the joy of riding in the car, shopping at Sellwood Dog Supply, wearing fleece jackets, meeting new people and going to work with Becky.
We all thank Becky for saving Eva and wish Eva the happiest new life.
